Specs on Volvo V60 Hybrid Ahead of Geneva
Some people might debating on the advantages of a diesels vehicle versus the electric on. But Volvo is coming today with both of them. This Swedish automaker is coming to Geneva with the first diesel plug in hybrid vehicle packed into the V60 wagon. The diesel hybrid engine has two distinct drivetrains which is able to run separately or in conjunction one and another.
In the front side, there is 2.4 liter turbodiesel with five cylinder engine which produced 215 horsepower with 324 pound feet of torque. The electric motor with 12 kWh lithium ion battery has 70 horsepower to give with the Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD).
With only a push of a button, the car is able to operate in one pure mode as an electric vehicle with 32 mile range with the electric power only. With hybrid mode, it only emits less than 50 grams of CO2 per kilometer with the range of 746 mile, while in Power mode it has 472 pound feet which can reach 62 miles per hour in only 6.9 seconds. For a standard car, it may not that quick, but for a diesel wagon, it is rapid. The car will be debut at Geneva Motor Show, and the picture above is only for your glance ahead of the event.

Audi A6 Spotted In The Snow
Autoblog seems like creating some shocking spy shots recently. The picture that you see above is their latest spying activity that produced a spy picture of the new 2012 Audi A6 sedan, which will coming to the North America this fall. While Audi is still working on the hybrid version of the stylish new four door, this German automaker has been seen to test the wagon variant that seems to be revealed in later this year at Frankfurt Motor Show.
It will be very interesting to see how will the new A6′s styling works with its larger hind quarters. However, it seems that the automakers is trying to use a more rakish rear hatch design and limit the cargo area. The interior and engine fittings seems to be remain unchanged from the old sedan.
Audi was always offering their A6 avant in the land of the United States. I think it will also do for this version as I don’t see the reason for Audi to not doing that. However, this wagon hasn’t exactly sold in a good number in the United States, but if they are not selling it in the U.S., they might already packed away the current model.

Once Again, GMC Confirmed Granite
Some months ago, Motor Trend said that GMC Granite concept had been given go for production in the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. Not long after that, Motor Trend then stated that they were strongly believed that Granite would be produced, but the publication is yet to receive an official green light from General Motors. However, this thing is changing today.
Now, the news is coming from Motor Trends again, that the Granite has been confirmed for production. They even said that the car will keep its rear hinged suicide door setup for the Granite. The new confirmation seems like coming from a trusted source inside the automaker, who also claims that the car will be on the same platform as Chevrolet Volt, Cruze, and Buick Verano.
When GM was debuted this Granite concept, it has 1.4 liter turbocharged inline four engine just like the Cruze, which is able to deliver 138 horsepower in a six speed manual gearbox. This engine would pretty make sense for this car, though Motor Trends themselves said that the 177 horsepower from 2.4 liter inline four engine in Verano would be a better fit. Let’s just wait until the official statement from GM.
